- 1 January - New Year’s Day
- 3 February, Heroes' Day – Mozambique celebrates Heroe’s Day yearly every 3rd day of February. It was instituted to commemorate the lives of fallen soldiers who fought bravely for the country’s independence in 1975 specifically to the assassinated leader of Mozambican independence movement political party, Eduardo Mondlane.
- 7 April, Mozambican Women's Day – Each year, on 7 April, Mozambicans celebrate the national Woman’s Day and honour the gallant fighter Josina Machel, who died on 7 April 1970 in armed combat fighting Portuguese oppression. It is a day to celebrate women’s achievements in Mozambique and reflect on their fight for equal rights.

- 25 June, Independence Days – Mozambique Independence Day is observed on June 25 every year in Mozambique. It is celebrated as a national holiday in the country. This propitious day marks the independence of the country from Portuguese rule in 1975. It is a no work day in the country and schools, colleges, and businesses remain closed.
